Sending tons of healing thoughts and best wishes to your dad for a successful surgery. Try not to worry too much---the bypass is a good and helpful thing, and I'm sure he'll feel like a new man after a speedy recovery!!
You, and your family, are in my prayers. Luckily, you found out about the surgery in a less traumatic way than could have occurred. Take some knitting along with you...I found worsted weight wool socks knit up quickly and helps to keep your sanity!
My prayers, too, are with you and your family. It is amazing what they can do in the cardiac unit. I've had a lot of experience there because of my Mom. While this is very serious, the surgeons do this all day long. They are really good.
I'll be praying for your dad. My mom had triple bypass several years ago and was fine.
